My host family and I went to visit the sights in Copenhagen with my brother's friend. We went to see the Little Mermaid and a World War II museum. We had a great time and managed to get some good photos while we were there.

BACK FROM BERLIN!!!!!
Let me start with saying that we did go partying, but if there are pictures of me with a drink, it is a Cola or a Sprite or orange juice maybe.
Day 2: We went to a history museum and then the Berlin Zoo to look at awesome and adorable animals.

Then in the afternoon we went to a backstreet club called B-flat, where there was an improve Jazz group. It was interesting, and certainly different from anything I've heard.
Day 3: We walked around Berlin and saw all the sights. We got a tour of cool street art places in Berlin from a very cool English fellow named Jack.
This is just some of what we saw, there are a ton for pictures on facebook.
Then in the evening we went to a heavy metal concert of the band "Born of Osiris" which is a US rock band. I got into it and head-banged and everything, for 5 minutes, and then some of the other girls and two boys and I left 20 minutes later. It was cool to experience, but not for a 2 hour run.
Day 4: We went to the music instrument museum where they have all these old instruments. I though it was super interesting and I just really wanted to play all the old pianos and harpsichords. Pictures of these cool instruments are on Facebook, but from my iPod, so can't be on the blog, sorry.
That night we went to a live concert of Indie Pop. We again left as soon as we could, this time all the boys first. Mainly because it was just plain bad music. I didn't want to be mean, but she couldn't sing and there was no pattern to the music, it was just her singing random and the two guys behind playing random drumming and one of those noise machines that sound like aliens talking.
Day 5: We got a tour of the Philharmonic and ate lunch over there by a piece of the original, untouched Berlin wall. It was super cool to see the wall with all the old writing on it. The Philharmonic was a very beautiful and interesting building, and we got to see an orchestra practice in the main room.
That night we went to a swing dancing club. I am really sad I didn't get any pictures, because it was super fun. A few of us knew how to swing dance a little, so we showed a few people and in no time everyone who wanted to dance was dancing. I danced with Elise and Luise and a few of the other girls in a group, getting into the rhythm and sharing different moves. Then later I danced with Marc and got twirled and dipped. He is quite tall, so it was really easy to spin. The swing club was probably my favorite place we went to with the class. Shout out to Liana, if your reading this, I missed you every second I was there (and always).
Day 6: Since we had been out the night before quite late, we were all pretty tired. Everyone else went out shopping after a great and super cheap brunch. I went back and chilled, helped clean up, and pack like crazy. I was afraid if I went out with the girls, I would spend way too much money. The day before I had already shopped with Luise and got shoes.
I spent the least money of almost everyone in my class. Only 146 euros, for a whole week including food and drink. I'm proud of myself :)
Thanks so my class and Mette and Jens for a fantastic school trip, it was truly amazing and brought us all closer together.
Ok, now that that's out of the way, my week in Berlin was probably one of the best weeks of my life, there was never a moment I wasn't at least a little happy to be there and a part of the great experience.
Day 1: I woke up at 3:30 am and went to the airport o meet my class at 5. We left on the plane at 7 am and got there at 8am. LONG morning!

That night we went to the German Philharmonic. We were right behind the orchestra, so we got to watch the conductor which was really cool. He got really into it. During the intermission, I saw Jeffery Rush. If you're thinking, "who's that?" then shame... you may know him as Captain Babosa from Pirates of the Carribean or the therapist from the King's Speech. So of course when I saw him I ran the other direction to find my friends after I was positive it was him and when I couldn't find anyone and ran back to say hi, he was leaving.

Off to Germany
Tomorrow morning I am waking up very early and going to get on a plane with my whole class to go to Berlin. While I'm there we are going to three concerts. The German philharmonic, a metal rock concerts and a jazz concert. I am staying in a really nice hotel suit with 5 other girls from my class. I hope to see lots of cool street art and the Berlin wall. I will take tons of pictures.
See you in a week,

Boag Fest
So, last night my school had a massive school party. The theme was ROCK, so naturally I found clothes that suited the theme and then ripped them to shreds. I had a studded dress and ripped up tights. When I got to the pre-party with my class I added an insane amount of eyeliner and very red lipstick.
Shout out to Marc, it was his birthday last night and it is custom for the birthday boys to take 18 shots on his 18th birthday. I feel for you Marc, hope your doing okay today and tillykke (that means congrats).
So I didn't personally get photos last night, but I got some from Facebook and this time I am in one of them, but you have to look hard to find my copper hair and tan dress. i had a really good time, it was fun and I got a lot closer with the kids in my class.
The DJ for the front room of the party, I was mostly in Block 1 with my class where we had a live band. The front room was the cafeteria and Block 1 is 1 of 4 blocks that branch off from the cafeteria. There are couches and beanie bags and everything, so it's where my class always is.
My host sister and a friends from her class, both looking fantastically ROCK.
I'm in this one, off to the left behind the girl with her arms up, congrats if you can find me.
It's okay if you don't it took me a while.
This is when I was in the main front room and the music was blasting. The whole experience was great.
Talk to you later,
Kaia
