I am finally in Denmark. My host family met me at the Copenhagen air port and brought me back to their beautiful home. I have my own room and Kristine, my host sister, is right next door.
Tonight after we had lunch and a little down time. Two little cousins came over to hang with us before the party we were going to later. I played a Danish version of twister (which has two dice instead of a wheel) and Wii with them and my host brother, Nikolai.
Later that night we went over to a cousins house for Christian's 18th birthday. We had a good dinner and then a fun lottery and dessert.
The lottery had three candy prizes and three adventures to take Christian on, like get Ben&Jerry's icecream or buy him chocolate.
After dinner and dessert, we watched handball on TV. Handball is like soccer, with soccer goals and everything, but instead of kicking the ball you throw it. I thought it seems odd and pointless at first, but it got really interesting. We watched the men's championship handball game and Denmark won by a lot.
My first day was great, and because there is a computer in my room, I'm going to use it wisely and try to post about my adventures in Denmark every night.
Sounds terrific! I can't believe you're out there! What's address? Can I send you letters?
