Last night I went to see a musical at my cousin's high school. It was so much better than I ever could have imagined. I was in this beautiful school library, which was a completely different building from the school. It was a story of this brother and sister and there's lives before the present. The girl sings her life through Wicked songs and the boy through Pink Floyd songs. It was an odd combination, but they somehow made the story make sense that Pink and Galinda got together in the end and the sister (Elphaba) and Fiyero get together in the end. I think it made more sense to me that the Danes, because I knew the Wicked plot line by heart, and my Aunt had never seen the Wizard of OZ.
The four main characters were really great singer, especially Pink. There was also a Wizard of Oz who was the dad of Pink and Elphaba.
Though it was a weird combo of music types, it turned out to be really entertaining. it was a fun night, and it was good to see my cousins and aunt.
